The 242 CR is a sleekly styled cruiser. Its
luxurious cabin is designed to pamper you with
plush overnight accommodations. There are two
berths - one in the main cabin and another in
the separate mid-cabin. The forward berth
converts into a dinette to serve meals prepared
at the galley, which consists of a stainless sink,
icebox, alcohol stove and stylish cabinetry. You
also have the luxury of an enclosed head with a
handheld shower and sink. For natural light and
ventilation there are four screened portholes, a
mid-cabin window and a large deck hatch. In
the cockpit you're greeted with a wide bench
helm seat, an aft-facing lounge to port, and a
wide bench -- all of which can be enclosed with
a full canvas. A single Volvo Penta 250-hp I/O
will cruise at 20 knots and reach a top speed at
around 32 knots.
